Walks

Booderee is an ideal place to see an abundance of flowering plants and animals. The gentle terrain, mild climate and well signposted trails of Booderee provide easy walking conditions and access to most areas of the park.

Places to walk include: Green Patch – Murray beach and Botanic gardens

Birdwatching

Booderee is rich in bird life with over 200 species recorded. A vast range of habitats are found in the area – coastal cliffs and heaths, sandy beaches and rock platforms, mangroves and ocean, swamps, lakes and forests. Many birds are residents, others are travelers passing through and some are of special significance to the traditional owners of the park.

Booderee Botanic Gardens

Booderee Botanic Gardens are the only Aboriginal owned botanic gardens in Australia. The Gardens cover 80 hectares of Booderee National Park and include a unique setting of cultivated areas surrounded by natural bushland.

Visitors can learn about bush tucker and medicinal uses of plants, the long association that Koori people have had with the area and the plants of south eastern Australia.

Swimming, snorkeling, and canoeing

You can go there for family fun you can go there snorkeling,swimming and canoeing lots of kids playing and lots of people walking on the beach.

Camping

Booderee National Park offers three camping areas. All campsites are unpowered. It is advisable to book campsites in advance as camping is very popular during peak periods.
There are 3 camping spots: Green Patch, Cave beach and Bristol point.
